Reawakening Wellness Center assists in providing a path towards recovery by addressing post acute withdrawal symptoms (PAWS), decreasing patient pain and lessening the urge to use drugs or alcohol. This enables patients to focus on group therapy, socialization skills and recovery, rather than physical discomfort.

Our Process

Our team is trained to address the issues which often times led to the addictive behavior in the first place. For example, many clients experience neck pain due to various forms of previous traumas, lower back pain from years of poor posture and additional aches and pains from other causes. In an attempt to address their discomfort, they visited a medical doctor and received a narcotic prescription to ease the pain. As their bodies adapted to the addictive prescription, they required larger doses of stronger medication to alleviate the pain. When the prescription medication was no longer effective, they experienced withdrawal symptoms, which may have led to street narcotic abuse. This is a common example with many variations.

Our Approach

Our team performs a thorough examination, including a detailed history which often reveals the cause of the addiction. Next, we perform a comprehensive physical exam, including orthopedic testing, neurological testing, range of motion studies and palpatory studies. Our comprehensive evaluation frequently uncovers specific spinal misalignments, muscle spasm and other painful musculoskeletal conditions.

Once the problem is identified, we employ an all-natural chiropractic approach to take the painful pressure off the spinal joints, discs and nerves. We utilize the proper physical therapy modalities to address the corollary issues, including muscle spasm, decrease in range of motion, inflammation and pain.
