Our nutritionist brings over two decades of hands on experience with addicts and collaborating in implementing a wholesome lifestyle for each of our clients.
We welcome our marvelous nutritionist to the Reawakening family. Ms. Rosemarie Kimelman was Born in Black River, Jamaica. Rosemarie began at an early age modeling her grandmother’s keen interest in natural health and herbal nutrition. Her passion for the field of nutrition continued when she migrated to the U.S.A. where she pursued a career in Dietetics and Nutrition at Florida International University. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and began her first position in a corrections facility in Miami where she focused in behavioral health and nutrition. Her vast experience covers a wide range of practice interests including Diabetes Education, Cancer Wellness, Senior and Women Nutrition issues, Children in the Autistic Spectrum, Obesity and Weight Management,Food disorders, Complimentary/Alternative Nutrition, Critical Care and Nutrition Support in Hospitals, Long Term Care and Adult Living Facilities as well as Hospice Care Settings to name a few.
Working at B.A.R.C in Coral Springs, Florida, she was applauded for her dedication to introduce a shift from canned and processed vegetables, provided to the clients to fresh or frozen choices citing the beneficial impact and benefits of more wholesome food on a clients mental health.
Rosemarie has more than 25 years experience in the field of nutrition, specifically in mental health and addiction. She enjoys the opportunity to be part of the Reawakening’s Team of Therapists and in providing cutting edge nutrition, knowledge and interventions to our clientele and staff.
